I liked this movie much better than the sequel. I hadnt realized it at the time, but this film must be the ultimate scientist dream - to "right" the natural mental retardation of those who have that issue.
Still---with it going so wrong, was the point of the movie that nature makes things the way they are supposed to be (for instance - one is mentally retarded) and to tamper with that is to create a monster? (thus, leave it alone) |

Yeah, the sequel sucked. I think the charm of the original was about how a simple guy (euphemism intended) became the brightest and deadliest mind on earth. Even though he smacked of "wrongness" you couldn help but to like the Lawnmower Man.
The sequel, on the other hand, was watching the egotistical - just....odd. side note: forgot Pierce Brosnan was in this movie! ![]() |
