The beginning of Army of Darkness is an OBVIOUS recap and flashback. Since, you know, he's actually thinking back to it.

That was the dumbest comparison I've ever seen.

No...Carpenters worst movie is "Ghosts Of Mars" a truly awful film. "Escape From LA" is more of a dissappointment then bad. The acting is fine and the action is ok, but after waiting 15 years for a sequel all we got was a warmed over remake. Still it was cool to see "Snake" again

I agree Ghosts of Mars sucked ass

Ive said before give Carpenter a tight budget and he'll give you a classic give him too much and he just bangs in as much special effect garbage that is totally unnecessary.

LA, was an appallingly bad film. You would have thought after such a long break between NY and LA they would have made a better effort with the script. But to be honest it looked more like a cheap cash-in to top up Russell's & Carpenter's pockets

i thought LA failed in comparison to new york, but the ending was amazing. shutting off all the power, and turning the world back in to the old west. There are so many potentially cool stories, that could take place afterwards
