why didn't screamers
get the credit it deserved it was a brilliant film and im sad to say it seems that very few people even know it exists unlike some other completly rubbish films that everyone knows about

No big budget bigtime movie company sponsored it, ex. Paramount or something, they didn't have the money to make it go bigtime, my guess anyway.

What kind of credit are you talking about? Did it inspire a new load of filmmakers? Did it herald a new wave of filmmaking? Was it "deep?"

I thought it was a really enjoyable movie. (but then, I likes Tremors, Phantoms, etc. .) I also dont think it got proper credit. This flick blows Tremors out of the water anysay, but Tremors is the one w/a miniseries now! give me a break.

I think (if I remember correctly) that Screamers was far more "scientific" and futuristic. Tremors was earthbound fun (I agree Kier--It was good), but Screamers was scifi intense. I think it was a Prison Planet, and they were transporting prisoners or something. They ended up having to arm the prisoners (??) or am I remembering the wrong movie?

Its cool movie. Its based on a Philip K. D*ck story which I have read, the movie is true to the story for the most part.
