Egyptians, Incas & Mayans indeed altered the shape of the skulls to create something like proto-Einstein's brain enhanced with hallucinogenic stuff. They bind the skulls of the babies with ropes and wood til they get old and in fcat there are other things not really "normal", if you doubt me take a load of this:

By the way, Travolta the Psychlo does have 6 fingers only in one hand. The looks of his head & face was a combo between Incas' deformed skulls, Spock and Bob Marley
