The Thing prequel coming soon.

Zack Snyder's Strike entertainiment with Universal Pictures has hired the writers of the Battlestar Galactica 2003 for the script and hired a talented Danish filmmaker who made some nifty arthouse films as director. It's basically about how the alien got here and thawed out by the Norweigians. The film is about the norweigans as how some of them got infected and before The Thing came to Outpost 31.

The film will come out for Halloween or Christmas.

Zack Snyder is involved? That means that the aliens are going to be thawed out in painfully unnecessary slow motion, doesn't it?

Well he's producer and not director as some new talented Danish director who admires the 1982 Thing is gonna direct.

Snyder had some quality films like the great Dawn of the Dead remake and two fantastic adaptations of graphic novels like Watchmen and 300.
