Special Effects

Ok, special effects do not a movie make. And, in truth, i'm not a huge fan of this film (even though I love invisible man movies. "Memoirs..." being one of my favs). But i had to buy the dvd just so I could watch the "quantum shift" scenes. Watching a gorilla being put together from the inside out was unreal. Watching Kevin Bacon come apart was even better
Does anybody know how they acheived the effect where they poor the latex over his face nad it forms a head even though there's nothing there? I'm assuming it's a CG thing but i still don't get it.

Hey actually this flick had pretty dam* good special effects and a bad plot and a good cast. I still think this was a horrible movie though!

Not a bad movie. Just a bad ending. Sebastain should have won.

Ivanhoe waves a flag for Sebastian.

I just can't agree more. He should have some how killed the last two in a suprising fashion and then addreses the audience with the black blank screen.

Sebastian: What can you see? Can you really blame me for what has happened? *In his intimidating yell* Any one of you would do the same thing in my position! *calms down* Anyways, just pretend I've said something deeply clever.

Roll credits with that song "you were made to die" (or watever it's called from the place it was when Sebastian was singing in the car from the beginning.

That would've been my ending.

That would be a much better ending then they've put out. Simply because it would be more realistic.

An invisible man talking to an invisable camera is realistic?

Realistic in a way that in "the real world" he would definately kill the remaining two actors. I wasn't talking about the "talk to audience " thing. Maybe a sentence or two of his uspoken thoughts could have ended it best, but I would have been happy just with the murders also.

I just thought that for him to say something in a narrative would definetely be cool. Neo addrsed the auduience in The Matrix . It just pissesme off that this flick had so much potential to be cool. Instead the last time I watched it I just had to pretend my ending was there. It seems like they just had five minutes left in production with an un-written script for the ending.

Yes, but still throughout the movie there were mistakes. And I just didn't like it. At least Jackers ending made it seem like a better movie then it is.

SF was just to literal. He actualy belived that you meant that the screen should go black with Sebastian standing on it and talking to the (movie theatre ) audience.

This movie was great! You get to see an invisible guy caress a bare breast, what more could you ask for?!

Pervert. That is part of what ruined the movie. But still the rest of the movie wasn't that good either. But Jackers idea would definitely give the movie a feeling of "closure"

hey there aint nothing perverted about a man enjoying seeing a womans breast.. I thought that part was one of the more realistic parts actually...

Hollow Man was a pretty hollow movie. But im not saying i wasnt entertained. It had much more potential in the first half before degrading into a slasher... but this is a summer blockbuster afterall, so you shouldnt have expected anything philosophical. I can at least say that the film entertained me, despite how dumb and improbable the film got.
