Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
Tough choices, here'sSky Blue looks interesting, I'll have to rent it, but IMDb flags it as more Fantasy than Sci-Fi. What's your quick take on its fantasy/sci-fi mix? As for Masters of the Universe: Nope, pure fantasy.
Enjoy! |

Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
Not to nitpick , but I've been watching the 2002 series and reading some comics of Masters of the Univese and even thou there is a fair amount of magic in it, it is also largely Science fiction.
One of the unique things about Masters is that it incorporates both science fiction and Fantasy in the mix. So you have latest beam waepons togother with Magic spells. Sub aquatic vehicles along side flying dragons. Cybernetic robots on one side, dwarf wizards and dwarf scientists on the other. So I would say that it is SF , at least partly. Besides remember the movie, they use a dimensional portal key to get to our world (and time) and further on Earth Astronauts-scientist from the future are the original Eternian ancestors. This sounds like a SF plot to me. MOTU on IMDB listed as Both Fantasy and SciFi |

I see Akira, but no Appleseed. Is Appleseed not considered Sci-Fi? Or had people forgotten it?

Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
The Butterfly Effect needs its own forum.
Also, its been said, and I 2nd. Can we have separate Sci Fi TV series forum and/or at least a separate video game forum? Finally, half the threads in Upcoming Movies have their own forums now, or are dealing with something non-scientific. Cleanup and sorting would be terrific! Hmm ... talk about Firefly seperate from Serenity ... talk about Stargate SG-1 seperate from Stargate?
Tricky ... but probably workable. |

Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
Same with BG and BG and ST and ST and SW and the soon to be SW however it also gives the opportunity to not feel er...'naughty' doing it in the film forums and more room to discuss other TV shows - though guess you can do that in Off World.
I know I did want a TV series forum but now I'm a bit ooh and er - simple because it could wind up killing certain forums back to graveyard status. Maybe certain forums should be renamed to take into a/c tv series? Then it's still called Movie Galleria - eh I'm gonna sit this one out. |

Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
I was going to say that all TV talk can go to Off-World, but there's so many different threads on different things going on in Firefly and Star Trek...
Perhaps we should make sub-categories for Off-World. |

Re: Needed forums Please Ramses
So what about Appleseed? Oh, and I know we talked about this a long time ago, but remember 'Solar Babies' with Jami Gertz? If that wasn't Sci-Fi I'm King Kong.
