Thor
Kenneth Branagh directing - Good
Anthony Hopkins - Good Natalie Portman - eh, okay I guess Some unknown guy playing Thor - Good Sam Jackson as Nick Fury - Perfect Some news out today: Idris Elba plays Heimdall, the guadian of the Bifrost Bridge between Earth and Asgard, and he says he starts filming in February (long after principal photography's started — so he's probably not in the film that much.) "I've got a big sword, a real big sword!" He exults. Meanwhile, Anthony Hopkins says that when he puts on his long wig to play Odin, he looks like Billy Connolly. [Flicks And Bits and Bleeding Cool via Screenrant] Kevin Feige insists that this movie is about straight-up science. We're doing the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby/Walt Simonson/J Michael Straczynski Thor. We're not doing the blow the dust of the old Norse book in your library Thor and in the Thor of the Marvel universe there's a race called The Asgardians, and we're linked through this tree of life that we're unaware of. Its real science, but we don't know about it yet. The Thor movie is about teaching people that. |

Re: Thor
Wow you've been buzy, definately got your mojo back.
Coulda sworn we were talking about this elsewhere, but may just be me getting sidetracked by the Eric. Alexander Skarsgard not getting this sucks, cos they went for a pretty boy instead. What would be cool, would be instead of traditional "another race previously worshipped as god plays superhero), is if they went the Ultimate route and had everyone convinced he was insane when it's really Loki manipulating the situation. |

Re: Thor
I was kind of hoping to inspire Ramses to update this forum. Has he been back since his last appearance?

Re: Thor
No, he hasn't been back, but wait a minute...Kenneth Branagh?
This Kenneth Branagh? ![]() Whoa! I'm not sure I would have given a action packed marvel hero to a guy who's only known to me as an actor and the occasional director of Shakespearian works. |

Ah see, that's the bright spot. Thor should be tragedy.
