I recently watched Haunted House w/Eddie Murphy ( ) not at all scary---I doubt it was trying to be.

but the ghosts there were good and bad, but all trapped b/t here and the afterlife due to unfinished business.

Can we just say that some of them are just plain EVIL?

Haunted house was a joke just a disney rip off for their ride in the yheme park.

If you want a good old ghost film check out THE ENTITY it was out around the same time as poltergeist and is a bit dated now but it is based on a true story so get the cushion ready.

Gothica was ok but i figured out the ending.

The japanese version of the ring is more frightening ive got the first two but havnt seen the ring 0 yet, theres another film ive seen in the shop by him so i may check it out.
