Carpenter makes movies which are either very good, very bad, or so bad there hillariously bad which is good.

Ghosts of mars is the latter, it's an utter cheese fest, hillarious, especially because the actors seem to be taking the whole plot seriously.

He sold out (I hate that term but unsure how else to say it), he always made cheese, but now it seems to be case of just slapping his name on wankery. Kinda worried Tarantino could be heading for a similar direction.

There is nothing wrong with John Carpenter, he has made plenty of good films including Ghosts Of Mars, Anyone who thinks it's good would understand that it is just a fun action film and that is all it is supposed to be. But a lot of people just don't get that and I guess in some ways maybe that is where it fails.

Quentin Tarnantino Presents Hero! Quentin Tarantino Presents My Name is Modesty! Quentin Tarantino Presents Hostel!

Yeah I see what you mean but what's Carpenter slapped his name on that's rubbish (apart from John Carpenter's Vampires, that is )?

Currently brian dead but:

Ghosts of Mars
A thousand and one Halloween sequels

As I'm currently brain dead, I can't remeber the damn article I was reading about how he's stuck his name on things but had virtually nothing to do with them --- oooh Shape trailer --- but he does it for the .

Maybe he's just getting old. The man is pushing, what, 70? 80? Maybe its just senility shining through. Cause the man did do some good movies back in the day. But they got crappier and crappier as time goes on.
