Wasn't there something about a suit that took streaming videos of the environment in front, behind and all around and projected the images on the suit to blend the wearer "invisible"? Or was that one of those Japanese things?

The mouth and lips could have been passing the light through them making anything that was within invisible due to where the light was being redirected to.
