My VHS cover looks a lot different to the poster. I like the cover better. It sort of looks like this one without the people running.

Re: Original Movie Poster

I don't think it does. It needs the colour. It was made in the era of colour! I think it needs to be trimmed though, to get rid of excess white... there's too much.

Re: Original Movie Poster

It's really, really, really badly constructed (from an artistic perspective the designer needs to be shot, there is no path/story/narrative to it, it's a mess, eye gets yanked all over the place). Though I like both the rainbow and the white frame, it's the construction inside them that screws them both up.

(And the lightsource is just plain wierd)

Re: Original Movie Poster

hate to say it but the poster just looks "70s" right down to the title font, colours and hair styles.

But hey, it was a good blast as I recall

I bet York and Agutter must cringe with embarressment whenever they watch their old movies, especially this one

Seriously doubt that given it's now cult status, not to mention philosophically being the Gattaca of it's time.

May be an anthropological curiousity, but the ideas are still good.

Considering York must be considerably well off (or at least more than comfortable) by now, I doubt he'd mind very much

The title "Logan's Run" is very discoish. Yeah, definately an attempt to work in some of the Saturday Night Fever feel. Sex was a big seller in the post sexual revolution of the 70's.

Re: Original Movie Poster

the poster is awesome, great colors and it definitely reflects the disco 70's. It reminds me of a similar poster from the era, "Phantom of the Paradise." I think I have an original one-sheet of Logans Run buried somewhere in my garage.

Surprised that I actually found a movie poster for this, considering it was made for TV. Two years in the making? Yet it's always considered the poor...
