BSG Nyoos!

First up, BSG won a Peabody. Cool, if unremarkable in itself.

But check out Matt Stone and Trey Parker's Peabody acceptance speech:

Second, Buffy- and Firefly, Ellen, Gilmore Girls, Star Trek, Nowhere Man, The Inside and practically everything else made for television in the last 15 years- alumnus Jane Espenson is writing at least one episode. Jane Espenson, for you non Buffy folk, is much beloved for her characterisation, wit and humour. Only Whedon wrote more Buffy episodes. Now, the humour part isn't something I'd have associated with BSG, but Espenson's writing is sharp and smart, and her stories are strong and character driven.

Iwata and Sith will probably hate it.

Espenson is something of a legend among nerdlier circles. She was even namechecked in an episode of 24 - Audrey introduces herself as "Jane Espenson, from Accounting."

Re: BSG Nyoos!

BG 2.5 gets R1 release in September. s3 airing October in USA, but Sky said not till next year for us. Joy.

Oh and Season 3 Spoilery Goodness - I did warn. Actually there's only one (kinda sub plotish) true spoiler in there, the rest is a general feeling of where the series will be going.

http://www.patriotresource.com/bg/in...s/season3.html

What's a Cavil?

Death death and more death? Tyrol's like helper's gonna get it isn't she? Or Dualla, or both. Bugr.

So looking forward to the follow up from Downloaded.

This however: http://www.greatlink.org/dcisV2.asp?....asp?item=5091
is SO incredibly cruel (they've blanked out the really spoilery bits like hangman) 10 & 12 are going to kill me.

I'm tiptoeing around potential spoilers, but I liked Billy, and thus, hate Dualla. So die! Die Dualla! Die! Cavil's the preacher dude, right?

Re: BSG Nyoos!

Al? I suppose if there's more than one they could be called "a Cavil".

I liked both, but Billy was a bit of a non-entity at times.

edit above link goes to the wrong place for the hang man spoilers, I think they moved stuff.

In order to respect the wishes of Executive Producer Ron Moore regarding the leaking of spoilers, TGL has, in TV Guide style, purposely omitted some of the character names and other details for Season 3:

"1) **** has a bandage over his *** like it has been shot out, ripped out, eaten by small weevils."

"2) ******* **** ******s on New Caprica."

"3) Apollo looks really fat and Dualla yells at him to do something because he is a warrior at heart."

"4) Sharon and Adama have a nice little soul-searching chat on a bed, sitting next to each other (fully clothed). She tells him he has to learn to forgive them at the top (I took it to mean he has to forgive himself)."

"5) ****** asks ******* to shoot ***."

"6) ***** **** looks like she's somebody's ***** (not her hubby)."

"7) Starbuck is ****** somewhere - it's not on a ship. Has she been captured by the Cylons? Is it a ********* to "The Farm"?"

"8) Apollo tells his father they have to go back or else humanity is doomed. It looked like his father didn't want to go back."

"9) ********** husband is still alive and looks like he's fighting ****."

"10) Six and Baltar have a convo about ***** and being good and bad."

"11) Six gets a ******* to the **** - right between the ****."

"And the thing that had everyone gasping..."

"12) Leoben - the Cylon Starbuck tortured who ultimately got thrown out the airlock by Roslin and was looking for Stabuck at the end of the season - well, he has a **** in his hands and says... the ***** is **********!"
