Skip Arriving

hello guys,
Introducing myself; Im working on a comic book (that will be released in parts in a magazine,and who will be released as one whole comic book after every part appeared in that magazine) So these last weeks-months Im spending alot of time sucking up inspiration from mostely everything-SciFi.Doing some forums and stuff.

Besides this I am an electronic music composer and performer and a graphical illustrator ,mostely ballpoint (chech sig to my space if you like)

Question; is there a topic somewhere here that helps you find the title of a flick you saw years ago and dont remeber.
(the movie I am looking for is I think late 80's early 90's,
setting;
-deserted earth (I think there was snow as well as desert with abandoned ruines of buildings) or it could have been another planet because...
-the ENDING of the movie as I remeber it,had the hero/main character and his woman (or somebody close to him) going to a vertical spaceship hangar in the ground were there was one last rather small spaceship standing on a little grid-like platform in the middle of the hangar,sort of escape the planet before it blows-ending, but that spaceship had only one seat,ow no! so the hero sacrifices himself...
...
feedback would be gratefully apreciated.
thanx in advance!)

Heyo!

The movie you're describing sounds a lot like "Screamers". It takes place not on Earth, but on a human colony that's been devastated by war. Very post-apocalyptic looking.

The ending sees the hero and a woman finding a shuttle to escape the planet, but the woman is revealed to be a Screamer (the titular villains) and she sacrifices herself fending off another Screamer so the hero can flee. Part of that final showdown involves moving the escape shuttle from a crane to a launch pad, or moving a crane out of the way, or something like that.

Hope that helps.
