Who would you cast?

No Transformer movie would be complete with out Megatron and Optimus Prime, but who else would you add to the cast and, if you have an idea for the voice, who would you cast to do the voice?

Re: Who would you cast?

Optimus Prime, Ironhide = Peter Cullen

Megatron, Soundwave, Rumble, Skywarp, any of the other voices he did = Frank Welker

Thundercracker = John Stephenson

Prowl = Michael Bell

Grimlock = Gregg Berger

Shockwave = Corey Burton

Those are just a few that should return to the voices of the characters they made famous.

Unfortunately, many of the key character's voice actors have passed on, those being:

Blitzwing = Ed Gilbert died in 1999 of lung cancer

Starscream = Chris Latta died in 1994 of a heart attack

A-3/Wreck-Gar = Tony Pope in 2004 of complications during leg surgery

Ultra Magnus = Robert Stack in 2003 of heart failure

Jazz = Scatman Crothers in 1986 of lung cancer

Unicron = Orson Welles in 1985 of a heart attack

Bruticus/Cyclonus/Motormaster = Roger C. Carmel in 1986 of suicide (incidently Roger also played Harry Mudd in the original Star Trek series

Swindle/Highbrow/Caliburst = Johnny Haymer in 1989 of cancer

Menasor = Regis Cordic in 1999 of cancer

Gears/Ratchet/Scavenger = Don Messick in 1997 of a stroke

Actually, the ORIGINAL Wreck-Gar was voiced by Eric Idle from Monty Python and he is very much alive right now.

I mean....if you want to be technical about things.

Well, Optimus and Megatron are gimmes, but so is Ironhide, Starscream, Soundwave, Jazz, Rumble, Ravage, Bluestreak, Bumble Bee, and a whole slew of others! (heh, I used the slew in a sentence)

Personally, I think they need to put ALL of the female Autobots in the live action movie. I mean, they were so cool!! They deserve more air time!! Chromia, Moonracer, Firestar, Elita One and all the others (plus Arcee) need to be in the movie!

Re: Who would you cast?

I would LOVE to see the Constructicons in the moive, mostly to see the merger that will create Devistator!

You are forgiven, Prime. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes.

My responce to your picture;

SOUNDWAVE: That is one ultragear disco ball!

MEGATRON: Groovy, Baby! Yeah!

BOT IN THE BACK GROUND: (groans) Oh, dear Primus.
