The amount of things I've heard about this woman (including Lestat personally visiting her) she's either crazy as a coot or semi clever.

I've seem my fair share on interviews with this person. She seems to be one of those shut-in, self-labeled "lesbo goth" persons who just got more fame than she can probably handle with a straight face.

Not to mention, I've read some of her work, and they read exactly like those angsty teen vampire sex fan fictions you can find on DeviantArt.

Anne Rice is utterly, properly insane. I can imagine it happening, too. One day, she re-read one of her books for spelling errors or whatever, and all the wangstyness just overwhelmed her fragile sensibilities.

Re: Rice - Ironic

at least she's not Anne Perry, who, I believe planned and executed with her "close" teenage friend, the murder of her friends mother. Why? because said friends mother was going to move away and they would be separated, which they couldnt bear. at least I think it was Anne Perry(?)

sounds suggestively lesbo, totally obssessive, or both. she def tops Rice. Rice is weird in her head. Perry is weird in RL and is totally cool, calm and collected with it.

I don't know about Rice, but Hamilton is so in her own world that when a nagative comment makes it past her fan boy husband and crazy assistant. She goes nuts and yells at her fans, then her crazy assistant spends weeks doing damage control.

And <<sigh>> to the Rice Religion 'Temporary' Turnaround news - this from Ms. "I love the film I hate the film I love the film". I'm not fond of her or her books, to be honest. I quite like the first one (and like the film) and that's about it.

I have to admit I quite enjoyed her erotic renditions of Grimm's Fairy Tales when I was in college. Her XXX version of "Little Red Riding Hood" was particularly juicy.

I have friends who live in New Orleans and can attest to the fact that she's very much the image she projects in the media - nutty, goth, introverted, and sporting this massive "I hate Tom Cruise I love Tom Cruise, no wait, I hate Tom Cruise" ego.

I think Anne Rice has written some interesting books. However she is so friggin crazy she shouldn't be allowed to live on her own.

I doubt the storys would be nearly as interesting if she were just another flouride head. C'mon now. Most writers of fantasy/horror need to be a little off in the first place.

I enjoyed interview, Lestat and Queen of the damned. I thought they were well written and very easy on the imagination

They were fun. The freaky demon infesting your unborn child which you then screw? Not so much.
