Meh, the movie was pretty good. It wasn't as bad as a lot of people say.

Re: book to movie?

I really don't see why people hated it so much. It was very interesting, and entertaining as well.

Morgan Freeman was very odd in this movie. Other than that, not at ALL what I expected, but that's because I went into the film having not read the book, and not expecting it.

Best way to do it.

Re: book to movie?

Most of the movie was very odd, but very good. Like, why did the alien have such a cheery, british accent? And how convenient was it that their little slow friend just happened to be a super powerful alien?

But, that aside, very, very good movie.

Re: book to movie?

I HATED that ending, the original ending in the deleted scenes was much better, though very similar.

I recently gave up on reading the book. I mjust couldn't get into it. If a book doesn't grip me when I'm already coming up to halfway through it then I don't see the point in reading more. I have to start wanting to know what happens on the next page at some point, and that just didn't happen. Could be because I've seen the film, which did a good job of adapting up to the point I'd got to.
