Yeah thats what I was thiking but what do you expect? Perhaps they did have al the oil rigs and ships rigged up with refining gear but it might have all been destroyed or lost to the convienice of the script writer.

Reviewer: "Thats stupid. Your just taking the eas way out."

Screen Writer: " And you were expecting..."

Reviewer: "A bit more in depth history of the planet!"

Screen Writer: " But Kevin cosner is in it."

Reviewer: " Oh, then that makes sense."

Umm, yeah, I wouldn't go looking too hard for any logic or science here. Having said that, the plot holes are particularly frustrating in this movie...
