Question Leonard Rossiter's Russian

On the space station en route to the black monolith Leonard Rossiter ends his conversation by saying something in Russian.

Over the years I’ve been told the translation is “Ah Miss Jones you look lovely by Earthlight”, someone else suggested “Sorry I’m late, points failure at Signus Major”. But what did he actually say?

Spooky, given that Rising Damp, the TV series, didn't see light of day till '74. 6 years after 2001.
