I've never seen the whole film but the late Phil Hartman did a perfect imitation of Charlton Heston in Soylent Green and a bunch of made up sequels (Soylent Cowpies, Soylent White, Soylent Teal and Soylent Green 2) on Saturday Night Live! His last line in Soylent Green 2 was: "It's still people! They didn't change the recipe like they said they were going to! It's still PEOPLE!"

Yeah, I loved that parody! It was basicly making fun of the Planet of the Apes films, and Charlton Heston in general. I also remember a 'fun with real audio' cartoon skit using Heston's adress to Congress as the NRA rep. Especialy the part where the apes burst into congress.

... And Buffy the Vampire slayer did a pretty good impression herself in one of the episodes, where she works at a fast food joint, and she finds severed fingers in the grinder, so she automatically assumes that the Doublemeat Patty is "People! It's made of people!". She gets fired. The secret ingredient in the meat is actually vegetable

I've never seen it but I know what it's about. My mom would tell me about it. Has anyone ever seen the episode of SNL with Charlton Heston or heard Soilent Green(pretty much death metal),and of course they're named after the movie. I've met the singer and I bet you'll never guess what his favorite band is.
