no, Max is a subjective character, i dont think you understand, i dont have an interpretation,..i see the "angle" of the film both ways, or "all" ways. what you see is max commiting suicide..weather you like it or not..on the outside..thats what hes doing..and when they find his bodie..if they find his bodie..they'll agree on that..but becuase you dont see that, your left to fill in the blanks yourself..you see, thought prokoking..the film is so complex with different ideas, that an interpretation of such low limitations would be unacheiving for the director, and what hes trying to create.

In the world of us "normall" people he is comiting a suicide. That is obvious but I ask you once again but you seem to avoid the answer: do you think that is all he is doing?

Look , I see ALL the posibilites too. But I ask you what do you think is most likely the truth . You must have an opinion or you think the posibilities are equaly spread.

If that is the case. What do you want to be the truth in this movie? That is what i'm asking you all along.

PS: If it is going to be another "All is posible" post , just don't bother.

So it comes down that our "wishes" are not so different.

I think we dried out this issue.

Because he was causing such a problem, perhaps that some other people involved with the making of Videodrome made him hallucinate Nikki just so he can commit suicide so he's out of the way?

Or is that theory just silly?

Re: David Cronenbergs best film.

Well, actually, there was supposed to be an ending after he shot himself. Something about him and Nicky doing something. I guess the reason it was deleted because it made the ending much better and didn't clear anything out.

But, the way I looked at the movie, not everything Max saw was a total hallucination. Some stuff was real, some stuff was hinting at real. Walls didn't turn all fleshy and they were real. Plus, when he made Harlan's hand a grenade, Harlan blew a wall away. Max walked through it. A kid saw it. That wall was there. So he caused a hole somehow.

The part where they insert a cassete into him has something to do with them controlling him. Like Convex said "we have analyzed one of your hallucinations, you are ready for something new". They need his hallucintations to know how to control him. They did it in the same manner, both Convex and Harlan.

Bianca did something of her own, though. Maybe she knows a lot more about Videodrome than they do... I think you guys kind of forgot her, she is still out there. Who knows what her intentions are.

A nice work of art that combines Sci-fi and horror together nicely just like "The Brood", "Scanners" and "The Fly". But i still think his best is "History of Violence".

History of violence? Really? Nah, Videdrome is by far and away his best work and it always will be.

Oh, but he is getting better a film by film. For example Eastern Promises has very heavy stuff (well, not graphically heavy - it's in fact quite far away from Cronenberg's earlier visions). Videodrome has crazy things to show but its message is thickly underlined like a 5 years old child's signature.
