The Tremors sequals arn't very high in quality but they are very funny. It wouldn't hurt you to watch them.

Then it has to be Flesh Gordon

But then - thats no sequel. It's no remake either - it's something different: how would You call a remake with less clothes ?

Re: bad sci fi sequal's

How can people think the Star Wars films are bad????
Okay, they aren't a scratch on the original trilogy but they're not that bad. Are they? Is it just me who liked them?

And Autechre, how can you say 2010 is embarassingly bad? I liked it.

(I see a trend in my film tastes developing here - 'cos I quite liked Alien 3 and 4 as well!)

Haven't seen MIB2 but seen the rest.
Lawnmower man 2 - a bad sequel of a baaaaad film.

Re: bad sci fi sequal's

I, too, thought the Star Wars prequels were good movies, albeit not on par with the spectacular original trilogy. So many people jump to label these movies against the originals, and never give these movies a fighting chance by judging them by themselves, or even against any other film.

I have to agree with that. Sure MIB2 was all perky and so fort, but not really that good or even better then the first MIB.

Re: bad sci fi sequal's

Isn't it true that in the US they had to change the name of "The Madness of King George III" to just "The Madness of King George" 'cos everyone would wonder what happened to the first two films?

And 3years, do you not know Roman Numerals? They are legitimate means of depicting numbers. You may have noticed them on clock faces sometimes?
They do it, I presume, 'cos some movies look better with "II" than with "2". "Episode VI" looks better than "Episode 6", does it not? All a matter of how it looks on the posters

I voted for SW: Ep. I

Jar Jar Binks..?

Anyway, a good example of ****ed up sequels?

"From Dusk till Dawn" 2 & 3... man, that sucked! The original is great, though!

Re: bad sci fi sequal's

i voted for Species 2 as it was mainly gratuitous sex/rape.

despite many previous comments re: Predator/Alien3/SW EpI they still at least are faithful to their respective story lines and important parts of the genre.

The first Species was also a unique idea to begin with, however even that one had it's moments. The second was just pointless.

but that's just my opinion.
