Re: I admit it. I liked this movie.
I saw it on video when I was about twelve or thirteen, and it really was cool to me then, so I still like it today.
The making of the spacecraft was a big hit, since I was very big into forts/treehouses/etc. wehen I was a kid. I haven't seen a copy in a video store in a long time. I think it's a good kids film. I hated Goonies, which may explain why I like Explorers. ![]() |

Re: I admit it. I liked this movie.
Well, I don't know about the Goonies/Explorers parallels, if there are any, as it's been such a long time since I've seen either of these movies. But when I was a kid I loved this As I said, I've not seen it in years, so I'm not sure if it'd still appeal to me now. I doubt it.

Re: I admit it. I liked this movie.
I seen both Explores and Goonies and liked them both when I was a kid. I had Goonies recorded on VHS but not sure if I still have the tape. I remember seeing Explores on TV 3 or 4 years ago. Goonies about the same 2 or 3 years ago.

Re: I admit it. I liked this movie.
It's funny how the Goonies has returned with a DVD version, however Explorers hasn't (you can get a VHS version tho). What's even more disturbing is seeing the baby faces of Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix (RIP). Goodness, were any of us so young? The third boy in the group (the whatever happened to? role) was Jason Presson.
Of course there are alot of movies I'd like on DVD, Explorers, Harry and the Hendersons, Flight of the Navigator, etc. We can only hope. |

Never saw this...
But the fact that it's compared to the Goonies has made me decide that I don't think I want to see it. |

Flight of the Navigator isn't on DVD?? That's a tragedy! Incidentally, we should have a forum for that. If we have a forum for this, we should have a forum for Navigator ![]() |
