POLL: I heard "The Lizard" IS in the next movie. I prefer Dr. Octopus.

POLL: I heard "The Lizard" IS in the next movie. I prefer Dr. Octopus, Sandman, The Chameleon.
Especially the cool stuff about the black alien suit SPidey wore when he was in a dimesional plane. And, how it attacked him in the end.

I really don't see the sequels following any specific story line in the comics. They were 90% true to the origins of Spiderman and may remain somewhat true to the origins of the enemies, but I think the scripts are going to have to go their own way, similar to both the Batman and Superman series. Therefore, I think the storyline involving the black suit that turned out to be an alien parasite won't make it onto film.

Pity ... as a villain, I preferred Venom, the suit

I read an interview with Sam Raimi, and Venom wasn't his favorite baddie. But he did understand that the fans like him. If he does make it to the movies, I doubt that it would be an alien, probably some kind of government project or maybe someone like Curt Conners expieriment gone wrong. I had forgot about the Lizard in the other thread, he is definately the number two villan after the Green Goblin in Spider Man history, plus Dr. Conners was mentioned in the first movie.

I think in the next Spiderman movie, the villain should be Venom like it always has been.

'Always been'? Venom was a latecomer in terms of the other villians in the Spider-Man saga and he wasn't the most common either.

If they went and used a similar storyline recently seen in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN they could have a non galactic Venom as well as "The Lizard" in Dr Curt Conners.

But Venom is relatively new against the rest of the rogues.
