Flubber

Isn't this movie considered sci-fi? I watched it again (under duress from my children) the other night, and wondered if there was a thread on sci-flicks. Seems not. There is now.

I want a flying car, so does my son. And the flubber itself would be humerous to have around.

Re: Flubber

I think that if Flubber was real, I'd be in jail by now.

And yes, this movie does deserve a forum. It is science and fiction in the most literal sense. "The Absent Minded Professor" should share the forum, like "The Thing" movies do.

What would you do with it that would land you in jail?

Re: Flubber

IMDB rates it as " Family / Comedy / Fantasy " but not SF, in fact.

I would have thought likely, as there is no stress on science.

This is xXx ... I'm not sure I want to know

Personally, if I had Flubber (sounds like an exotic disease, though), I'd train it to be my all-singing all-dancing army of the night, using it to take over the world, bwa ha ha ha ha ha!

Or I'd just patent it and make millions.

Re: Flubber

Hmmm... Although this isn't a very good flick, I'm pretty sure that it will be remade. Think about it, maybe it's in 3D or something... They will do it, because they have remade Dr. Dolittle etc., right?

Re: Flubber

SF's right, it already IS a remake - it's a remake of The Absent-minded Professor from the 60s. Or 70s, I'm not too sure.

Re: Flubber

Ah... But back to the "real" Flubber, I knew it was made before. Who was starring in that old version... Fred MacMurray? Well, anyway... I think they haven't used this plot till its end yet. It's still somewhat juicy, if you know what I mean. It "juicy", unfortunately.

We'll never get rid of that green thingy.
