Huzzah!

We've got a MST3K forum at last! Thanks Ramses!

Darth Bob must be so happy

So, is there anyone who watched the film of this (The one with "This Island Earth) and DIDN'T like it?

The in-between stuff wasn't as funny as the bits from the show, but it was still a very good movie. It's great that it's also so daring, because they're making fun of a classic.

Is This Island Earth considered a classic, then? I mean, it's not as recognised as, say, The Day the Earth Stood Still or Metropolis, is it?

No, but it'd be hard for you to find an SF Movie Guide thing that didn't include it. It's a sci-fi classic, but not a movie classic, in other words.

Yes, but it would be hard to find a SF movie guide that didn't include Universal Soldier, and that's hardly a SF classic, is it?

Pretty much, yeah, with a couple more cutaways from the movie they were showing (This Island Earth). It's still very funny
