Avatars: WTF!?

Why does sciflicks check the size of Avatars that are remotley hosted?
does that mean that they too are hosted here, and if so, whats the point?

I the Doctor, command you by the shadow proclaimation to tell me all you know.

Re: Avatars: WTF!?

It seems, that even remotly hosted avatars are uploaded to sciflicks, which seems a tad insane, why not take up someone elses bandwidth?

The answer is NO, DB. Why not just download to your CPU (probably already have), and upload it here like everyone else?
