Clash of the Titans Remake
I saw Guy Ritchie's excellent steampunk Sherlock Holmes film (more on that in a future post) last night and there was a trailer for the new "Clash of the Titans." Laser Zues was sure as **** more lasery than I remember, but I ask you: why would anyone want to watch "Clash of the Titans" sans the Ray Harryhausen stop-motion?

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
Well, I can think of at least two reasons: Harry Hamlin and that ridiculous metal owl. Dude loses his helmet of invisibility and to compensate he gets that stupid metal owl - WTF kind of deal was that! I put BooBoo or BowBoo the metal owl one notch above Muffy, the robot dog from the original Battlestar Galactica and one notch below Tweekie, the annoying, midget Robot from the 70's Buck Rogers TV show.

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
I would say skip them both and watch Jason and Argonauts instead.

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
Not all remakes suck! what about Scarface, The Thing, The Fly or Dawn of the Dead?

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
The Thing and it's predecessor were both based on a decent story. The only thing that Clash of the Titans had going for it was the stop motion work of Ray Harryhausen. The remake seems to have nothing at all going for it.
