As he didn't bother to it for me, I stand corrected about Marvin ... but this is at least just as good

I'm so pleased Alan Rickman is going to be voicing Marvin! He's just perfect!

Alan Rickman? (Note: this is perhaps the first and only time on this site, when TWL uses "doublecool".) Then the flick is absolutely a must-see.

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide?

It's official ... though it pains a small part of me to say this ... I ... forgive them for casting Mos Def as Ford Prefect. I won't rant about it anymore until after I've seen the film. He might do a good job after all.

Everything else in ths film looks spot on.

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide?

Interesting bit of news ... according to the imdb (which has let me down once already regarding this film), someone called Mak Wilson will be playing Vogon Jeltz, the captain of the Vogon ship.

Why is this interesting? Well, I find it interesting because he was the voice of Earl, the fathers in the Dinosaurs TV show. Which was great

Just thought you should know

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide?

I'm glad Martin Freeman's playing Arthur Dent. He does have a certain Dent-like quality about him. I like what it says on IMDB about Jack Davenport being originally considered for the roll but they decided he was too good looking.

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide?

Is it me or is Zaphod played by Richard Branson?! He's also missing a head, which of course means it'll be a CGI head - good luck with that, guys.

Trillian looks right, at least - although the actress was in Almost Famous and she was a litle grating. Even so, can't judge an actress from one role, I'm sure she'll do fine

Marvin looks ... weird That's all I can say about that, really

Ford Prefect STILL doesn't feel right to me, but I may be proved wrong in time.

Roll on May! NOW!

Re: The Hitchhiker's Guide?

Zaphod is the guy from Galaxy Quest! You know the security guy who doesn't have a name and thinks he's going to get killed off? That guy!

They all look strange.
