soylent green music

Just something that's been niggling.

The classical music piece that was played as Sol (Robinson) lies dying. The music was his final request.
I saw this movie 30 odd years ago, and have often wondered about that piece of music.

Thanks in advance if you have the info.

This is the story of a starry night

Apart from the music by Peer Gynt and Beethoven, the above tune (I think by Glen Miller) was also played during the scene... correct me if I am wrong....

Peer Gynt rules, especially Savatage's cover of it on the 'Hall of the Mountain King' album. It's called 'Prelude to Madness'
