Question Transformers Alternators: sort of a powermaster/targetmaster combination

With the current Transformers Alternators, the engines on all of them Iím pretty sure turn into a weapon for the vehicle in robot mode. This aspect reminds me of the Nebulanized G1 transformers: the targetmasters & powermasters. The engine turning into weapon feature of the present TF Alternators makes the Alternators (thats my take anyway) a combination of BOTH the targetmasters & powermasters of 18 years ago. The engine on these new TFs becomes the robotís weapon & the weapon turns into the engine of the vehicular mode. The Alternators seem to be both powermasters & targetmasters simultaneously, except for their being no third robot mode (probably would be a minicon yes?) for the Alternatorís engines/weapons.

What is your take on the present Transformers Alternators?

Re: Transformers Alternators: sort of a powermaster/targetmaster combination

your in the minority then.
Target/power/head/ all the rest became mini robots as well as the other thing, these go from engines to guns, nothing more, nothing less.

as for mini-cons... thats another continuity altogether, so no.
Alternators/Binaltech are alternate history G1, where the events of Cosmic rust didn't pan out so well.
