EXCUUUUUUUUSE me! i think i lost my reading capability, cus i thought you sad bugs were slimy and preds rules...maybe i am because there is no way a pred can beat a bug! (::mutters:: MAYBE with its weapons but thats about it!!!)

Unarmed pred vs a bug. Bug wins! (99.9% of the time)
Armed pred vs bug. Depending on pred the pred would usually win (80% of the time)
Armed pred vs bugs. Depending on number of bugs and the skill of the pred, the pred will usually win (60% of the time)

estimates might be biased because im a bug freak

...even though the name Yautja is never mentioned in the films. He's just going by the movie canon. All that Yautja crap was stupid and silly anyway.

Yeah but I still...

I still go by Yautja. If ya got a problem with that tell me. How much times did they use EXENOMORPH in an Alien movie? Once in Aliens thats it.

Re: hehe.. Aliens

actually i think the total use of the word Xenomorph is something like 5 times. Yautja is just something some comic book writter thought up. thats why i dont like all of that expanded-universe novels and comics. not that thyere all bad, its just that they interfere with the movies and start messing them up (not only Predator, but the Alien series as well. but the Alien comics and novels were never a problem, theyre pretty faithful to the films most the time). but thats just my opinion. i just go by what was in the films. i still use the novel/comic terminology sometimes, its just easier when your trying to explain stuff.

Re: hehe.. Aliens

aliens vs predator, and the winner is..................ALIENS
Aliens r defenitly the winners, theres no way a predator can beat an alien.
Alien is fast, predator as weapons, but alien has his own weapons like hes tail and claws, they r much more bloodier then a predator.

Re: hehe.. Aliens

I would agree that the Aliens are definitely more scary, but the Predator (Yautja) has one advantage, its stealth suit! the aliens wouldn't be able to see them!

Re: hehe.. Aliens

ahem Aliens can SENSE a creature invisible or not. BTW aliens dont have eyes. They cant see nothin. shoulda just added the weaponary of Yautja...but without that the Pred would be screwed basically.

I agree

When you just look at "what nature gave them" The aliens are far the strongest. Any Xenomorph would kick predaor as (without weapons) ;cos predatos is just a couple times stronger than an average person. (When Arnold managed to keep up with him in a fist to fist fight... well at least he came up close. SO it goes
Aliens->Predators->Humans

does not spell good for the human huh!!

but the real reason i am resurecting this thread is to politely ask, why this is S.F.? *quickly ducks while all the rotten apples land*
why is this different than say "the blob". the setting is different, in space, but esencially its a horrer movie, no? at least in predeter he had some cool wepons, there was a spaceship etc. but this? ( i am open minded about this and willing to change my mind.)

Re: hehe.. Aliens

*Picks up another rotten apple*

It's a SF horror. It's horror in SF, thus it's SF. The Blob was SF horror aswell wasn't it?

Alien: Spaceship. Space travel. Cryo chambers/sleep. Future.

Aliens: Spaceship. Space travel. Cryo chambers/sleep. Future. Space colony. SF equipment.

Alien: EEV in space. Space Travel. Cryo chamers/sleep. Future. Space prison colony.

It certainly is SF.

Aliens are extra-terrestrial. That is pretty much an old-school sci-fi idea to me.

In the case of Alien vs. Predator, I let my Super Nintendo decide.
