Talking One of the best Horror Movies Ever!

God Bless John Carpenter! When it comes to suspenceful, gory, scare the living poo-poo out of you kinda movie, few can compare with his remake of "The Thing". Everything in film, the acting, the writing, the FX, and exspecially the directing, were top notch! Even the music score had the impecable haunting theme nessacary to push this film over the top.

To me the most frighting aspect of the film was the way the music and the camera would wonder around in that claustrophopic atmosphere and keep you on the edge of your seat. Then when you
least expect it terror strikes!

This was your best work Mr. Carpenter!

The Thing is a great movie but I don't know whether I'd say it was his best movie. From a personal pov I preferred Halloween and Escape from New York.

However, the camerwork was great, as well as the sfx for its time. Didn't rate the score though; not one of Ennio Morricone's better works

I rewatched this movie lastnight and I have to say its got to be one of his best.

He does so much better on a tight budget compared to his most recent bigger budget movies that were in a word "****e".

yep this film seems to get better and better with age: ok the character development is weak but the story and of course the sfx are awesome.
