Whooo ... that's ... that's weird.

I'm not sure if it's good weird or bad weird - but I think I get what it was trying to do. With duplicates and plant roots and running and that.

now that's quite a deep poster in terms of interpretation, the meaning of which probably went over a lot of people's heads (including mine) unless they'd always seen the original.

I think what would've made a great poster would be a scene near the end of the movie with Donaly Sutherland pointing an accusing finger at the camera, with his mouth agape and his eyes wide open.

Always sends shivers down my spine whenever I see that bit

I don't think so, because then that would spoil the film - the first time a pod person does that in the film you'd immediately think of the poster and go "Oh no!"
