According to ComingSoon.net, Warner Bros. Pictures has scheduled a July 18, 2008 release date for the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. Will Smith's Tonight, He Comes is also opening that month on the 2nd.

That same summer, Iron Man opens on May 2 and The Incredible Hulk on June 27.

I am guessing that Spider-Man 3 is going to set the comic to film bar so high that none of these films will be a success. Or, Spidey 3 will be a big mess and bomb out...who knows.

Looking forward to Spider-Man 3, even though I'm unsure about the idea of having four villains. I hope it's three hours long or something.

Yeah, Spider-Man 3 looks spectacular so far. Sam Rami was obviously born to make these kinds of films and I have little doubt he can handle a 4 villian film.

They showed the trailer during my showing of Casino Royale. I think that's one of the most impressive trailers I've seen in aaaages.

Re: Summer 2008 - Superhero Summer

Why are they bothering with Hulk again? And what's the Will Smith movie?

Keep flipping back and forth about Iron Man, by rights it should be a FF4 type mold, yet Robert Downey Jnr...alcoholims....womanising, so much goodness there (right untill you remember the the tin can suit painted by a 4 yr old ~ducks~ , then again people are stupid we love Superman)

Re: Spiderman, I'd kind expect it to build on the others, but it's always sat in it's own little world cinematically, unless the others are truly ****e it shouldn't impact them too much unless they're unfortunate enough to run the same time.
