He-Man movie coming in 2011!

They finally found a director for the upcoming motion picture based on the classic animated series/new animated series/comic series and toy series as it's John Stevenson who did "Kung Fu Panda" and was an art director for "The Great Muppet Caper".

Hopefully this will erase the memories of that horrible 1987 Dolph Lungren effort and be more faithful to the toons, comics and figure line. I think they should do a trilogy on this with all characters of the MOTU universe.

My ideal cast for a trilogy:

He-Man/Adam: Jason Lewis.
King Randor: Gerald Butler.
Skeletor: Gary Oldman or Hugo Weaving.
Beastman: Tyler Mane.
Teela: Jessica Biel.
Man-at-Arms: Nick Nolte or Gary Busey.
Queen Marlena: Nicole Kidman.
TrapJaw: Bruce Campbell.
Hordak: Frank Langella.
Adora/She-Ra: Playboy centerfold Sarah Jean Underwood or some other cute blonde girl.
Sorceress: Sharon Stone.
Evil-Lyn: Kate Beckinsale.
Voice of Orko: Tom "Spongebob Squarepants" Kenny.
Fisto: Huge Jackman.
Bow: Ryan Reynolds or Josh Harnet.
Frosta: Natasha Heinstreich ("Species").
Voice of Swiftwind: Liam Neeson.
Mantenna: Doug Jones.
Leech: Voice of Jeffery Combs ("Re-Animator").
Catra: Kelly Hu ("X2").
Stratos: Ewan Mcgregor.
Glimmer: Michelle Trachenberg.
Voice of Kowl: David Hyde Pierce.
MossMan: Ron Perlman.
Scorpia: Selma Hayak.
Grizzlor: Kane Hodder.
Voice of Broom: Seth Rogen.
Voice of Horde-Prime: Tobin Bell ("Saw Series"), Robert Englund or James Earl Jones.

With all those A-listers, your movie would cost a billion dollars just to cast!

Never was a big fan of the cartoon as a kid (or the line of toys). On the other hand, the Dolph Lungren film rocked!

No one can do Skeletor better than Frank Langella. The guy was supreme in "Masters of the Universe".

If this isn't the greatest villain entrance ever, then I don't know what is!

Frank was good as Skeletor but now i think he would make a good Hordak don't you think?

Eh, I prefer this one for a villian entrance. "DIE AUTOBOT!"

Now that's what i'm talking about. But this could be a visual film like "300" or "Sin City" of making a believable fantasy world come to life and could be quite dark for a toon adaptation.
