I'm fairly sure my family may start asking questions if I add any more tangently Dushku related DVDs to my collection... I'd like to see you try and rationally argue that Bring It On is a worthwhile addition to the filmic arts...

I like Bring It On. Of course, having been a cheerleader myself way back in high school, I'm partial to them, especially when they look like Dunst and Dushku

As for The New Guy, it was pretty funny

Re: (Waves to people looking at who's online)

It's a engrossing film that delves straight into the heart of the psychological effects of... um... chearleading and is vital to any one to watchrepeatedly so they can get a better understanding of race relations within the us and withing teenage competitions.

A++

No, not just you Splend. Which is why I feel the need to *wave*. It is a bit wierd isn't it? That you're sort of looking at each other looking at everybody else?

It's positive for her. Long term, I don't think she could ever have become a true good guy without learning that it's possible to trust people. Negative for everybody else though. Most especially all those people she murdered for him. But what are the lives of a few extras between friends, eh?

One of her lesser known ones, though reknowned among the slightly scarier portion of her fanbase for one particular scene. Made around the same time as Soul Survivors if I recall correctly.

Please. Girlfriend was just getting her filmic feet wet when she did New Guy, and that is probably the only reason she did it.

Re: (Waves to people looking at who's online)

Agreed. That's impressive Q, though Splend's evaluation is far more accurate... It's an assault on brain cells. Wrong Turn isn't much better, but at least when I put it back on the shelf, my copy of Citizen Kane doesn't try to escape.

Ill bet you were, too. One of the younger guys I knew was a cheerleader, and from what he said, it was about the best position to be in for a guy with the ladies.

You have no idea LOL Especially when you're holding one in the stunt we call the 'chair' LOL

Of course, I did have a very nasty experience with the 'chair' once with one of the girls I was holding. Almost scarred me for life LMAO

We don't do the whole cheerleader thing over here, which, given our tendency to associate booze and sporting events is probably a good thing...

On the other hand, I've yet to force myself to watch a single Dushku film that was nearly as bad as Beverly Hills Family Robinson with Sarah Michelle Gellar. That film haunts my sleep its so bad.

Re: (Waves to people looking at who's online)

Be glad you don't have the cheerleading mania that comes about over here. The women can be more vicious than anything I've ever seen, especially when they are 1. fighting for Captaincy or 2. fighting over a guy. Brutal.

It's funny tho, Cheerleading is considered a sport down in the southern states, however, it's considered an athletic activity in the North. But believe me, cheerleaders tend to work as hard if not harder than the other sports, like football, lacrosse, etc.

Being a cheerleader, you place a lot of faith in your squad, particularly if you're a 'flier', the ones thrown into the air during stunts.
