Cool The Dead Zone

Anyone? Anyone?

I am now a DZ aficianado! (ok, maybe I wont go that far, but my eyes are bleeding, people).

I have only one word: WHAT?

What? whatwhatwhatwhat WHAT?

What do they want to do?? By the end of Season 2, they are starting to get iffy. Honestly. It was very, very pointed up until halfway thru S2 when the episodes started to get all random.

RANDOM? Are we kidding? We're in the middle of the Apocalypse here people, and they start having random lovey-dovey episodes about.....nothing in particular, or some politically correct idea (like, say, presciene doesnt really work and we make our own destiny............on a PSYCHIC VISIONS OF THE FUTURE THAT ARE ALWAYS TRUE show?? Please stop confusing the children....).

Greg Stillson is the harbringer of the End of the World (or maybe Johnny is), and we had best get back to the point.

Am I the only one who feels like the show lost its focus?

I've got to say, I have nevger seen a single episode of this. b#Not because it looked rubbish, just because I missed the first few episodes and it's never really on at a convenient time for me.

It looked really good, though. And it's a great book.

Re: The Dead Zone

I mean, how long can you milk a book into a show before you have the entire book inside the episodes. But that can basically be done in the first season. Then they just make everything else up. And after awhile, its just kinda.......stupid.

Re: The Dead Zone

I do think that the show is starting to grasp at straws. Frankly, it almost seems like they ran out of the actual storyline, and are now trying to switch to that whole "randomness" that sitcoms have. Which sucks.

I suppose this is why Im a fan of miniseries. Perhaps they should have followed the example of SK's other adapted works, and made it a miniseries---short by comparison to what they have going now.

But no.

I do confess Im interested in seeing S3, if only to see what they pull out their behinds at this point in the game....

I've seen rosered. It was very very good. King miniseries are always good.

I too like the dead zone, but I've never seriously watched it. You know, like religiously. I saw a lot of the first season which was good.

Beyond that it was just very confusing.

I liked the miniseries of The Shining. The first time I saw it I was actually living in a Haunted Hotel And now I work there

Wasn't there a Carrie miniseries recently? I didn't watch it, was it good?

The "actor" they got to play the child was absolutely embarassing. And if I remember correctly, he seemed to always talk with his mouthful or something. And the tacked-on ending (which was in neither the book or the film) where you see Danny as an adult who sees his father as a ghost who blows him a kiss was so cheesy and sentimental, it would make Spielberg blush.

I dunno Dead Zone is something I should 'techincally' love yet I doubt I've even ever watched 2 full episodes - just never really got into it.
