The opening few seconds of that trailer were pretty good. If there's nothing else on at the time, I might potter down to see it. Never really been a fan of Hartnet though.

Re: 30 Days of Night

I don't like Josh Hartnett even more now, after seeing his squinty joyless face at Oxegen this year. However, the trailers running for this on TV look pretty damn good. Snow, blood, and darkness, at least it'll look cool.

Woo, Melissa George!

I just hope they've done something about the ending.

Re: 30 Days of Night

Er, what were they supposed to do about the ending? Still haven't gotten around to reading the series.

Hartnet actually didn't irrittate me in it (and I sat through Black Dahlia), wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't Ultraviolet horrendous either.

Wow. Good movie - almost felt like a Stephen King type of film, simply because it was so.......cozy. And they actually spent time building the characters from the beginning. THIS is what Josh Hartnett was made for - not sappy romance films, not edgy spy/shoot-em up movies. This. This is his forte. I couldn't even help wanting to rent The Faculty again, just to see Josh Harnett Done Right.

Re: 30 Days of Night

My sentiments exactly - I kept thinking how stupid they were....well, only after I was thinking how stupid she was considering that Josh risked his life TWICE to save her, and she still managed to get caught out. Give me a break -she's been capable up to this point, and suddenly becomes a bumbling idiot? Stop. Even the hurt officer managed to "get away" and he could barely walk.

Ok. Hard question time.

if you were her, knowing they were baiting you out into the open, would you have saved the child?

I though the movie was great. After Anne Rice and laurell K Hamilton, it's nice to see vampire's as monsters. Not gay french men winning about their endless lives. I thought the whole cast did a great job with there rolls. I really liked Bo's character. The guy that played him is a great character actor.

He was the guy that tried to blow him self up so as not to get killed, and it didn't work so the lead vampire crushed his skull with his foot.

I'm still a little confused about that whole incident. You'd think that standing practically on top of the stuff would leave you dead and in little pieces. Dunno.........i think i'd have eaten a bullet if i saw that one coming.
