Jekyll

Has anyone else been watching Jekyll on BBC1? It's not an update or 'reimagining' of the Jeckyll/Hyde thing, but rather a sequel set in modern times, featuring a "direct descendant of Dr. Henry Jeckyll - even though he had no children" - I probably wouldn't have bothered watching it if it weren't for James Nesbitt, who is absolutely fantastic as the two characters in one.

Now that Dr. Who's finished it's the only thing left on TV for me to watch until the next Apprentice starts again

Re: Jekyll

I think it's been a pretty good uptodate adaptation/sequal thing, obviously as a direct decendent of a man with no children, the obvious thing is to say he's Mr. Hyde's decendent, which would fill in both boxes.

written by Steven Moffat the guy who wrote Doctor who's blink.

Oh, he wrote Blink, did he? I did wonder. Glad to hear I'm not the only person in England watching it

Re: Jekyll

I love Stephen Moffat. He wrote all the best Doctor Who episodes - "The Empty Child" two-parter, "The Girl in the Fireplace" and "Blink". Apparently he's writing another two-parter for season four.

I've not seen Jekyll yet.

it'll be ruined by the runaway hag. fairly annoyed this weeks episode was displaced for the sake of the earth, and some concert thing.

Not seen ep 4 yet, was away, but mum recorded it for me (as usual - I love my mum ) so I'll probably watch it today. Or maybe tomorrow before work, to put me in a 'dark'-ish mood so I can tyry and finish my 'dark-ish' story.

Re: Jekyll

potentially spoilerish, but damn glad they shot down the clone theory,

now the cure, well, obviously with two episodes left, they can't just kill off hyde, so the potentials

1: Jackman is stabalised, so is Hyde, but now there both there, two people two bodies (Highly unlikly but then again there is the twins to consider)
2: Jackman is stabalised, there is no Hyde the last two episodes go through his attempts to rebuild his marriage (theres a song and dance number at the end)
3: Hyde is there, not Jackman, evil rules, and he goes about taking down the company, and freeing the boys
4: Jackman is stabalised and apparently cured, until something triggers another change, all the cure has done is stopped them both dying, there stuck together until there killed.
5: a merged Jackman/hyde, jakdy, (jack dee )

end of, Hyde can't be killed off, at least not yet, the twins are important, we still have yet to find out how he exists, though being hyde's son seems the logical choice.

we still havn't seen robert louis yet.

Re: Jekyll

A friend of mine very kindly bought me the DVd ... and she won't give it to me tioll she's watched it herself! Which is fair enough I hope she enjoys it. Can't wait to get it and watch it again, knowing what I know now from the final episode (and for once I didn't see the twist coming ... mind you, it did seem a pretty silly twist ).

This was a fantastic series and kept me on edge everytime I saw it, waiting for the next weeks installment.
Boy the ending got me completely and I love it when that happens- I was outsmarted.

Very good series and if is on DVD then do make a point of watching it. Very good acting too. Intense.
