The Core

Just saw some still from the upcoming SF/Disaster flick The Core. Man, recognizable landmarks have a tough time in these disaster films. The golden gate bridge and the colloseum in Rome get whacked in this one. Movie looks tired and stupid. Someone go see it and tell me about it.

Sounds like a re-hash of Armageddon to me. Only without Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Liv Tyler and a song by Aerosmith ... not worth my time. Armageddon was good, imho, but a rip-off ... no thanks.

Re: The Core

God damn, no one seems willing to part with their cash to see this film and give a review. Well me too!

But am curious to see what it does have to offer. Surely it can't be that bad, considering the amount of flack from previous like sounding films?? Surely to God...

I can't part with my $ to see this. I know that is SCIENCE FICTION, but I have been going to school to get my Geology BS for the past 5 years and I can't bring myself to watch this piece of incorrect crap, lol. I know, I should get over that part of it, but it just look ssoooo wrong!

Well, I quite liked it. Crap trailer, good film. Not a cool film. But a good film.

Nex you sly ole dog

You kept that quiet young man. Prey tell, any likeness to Armageddon thing, and if so, did you like Armageddon???

Would you recommend the cinema or wait for video for this film??? (remember that there is money difference here for 2 people, approx 10.00 for cinema, and 3.75 for new release video)

Re: The Core

Yes, I thought "Armageddon" was a good film and it's abit similar - but hey, it's a disaster movie...

This is kind of a wait-for-video flick but it's quite cool to see the special effects on the big screen.
