Ah Flash Gordon. One of my favourite childhood flicks. Great Cast, Great Visuals (for it's time) and Great Soundtrack (altogether now "Flash! - Aaaaaaaaaah! - Gordon's Alive?").

Also Robbie Coltrane's (Hagrid in Harry Potter films for the unenlightened) first ever onscreen appearance. He's the guy in the airport control tower at the beginning of the film and is onscreen for precisely 0.75 seconds. I've always had a desire to meet Robbie Coltrane and say, "I loved you in Flash Gordon!"
