Chaka? Hell, what about the Slee Stacks? Those were the creepy bunch in that series. I used to watch that show all the time growing up on Saturday morning.

Is it supposed to be a comedy with Will Farrell or are they going to try and make it serious? I know the original was silly to watch but with Farrell it sounds like it will be an all out comedy remake complete with "more cowbell" LOL!

With Will Farrell in the lead one can only surmise that it's a spoof of the series, similar to the forgetable Brady Bunch films of the 90's. It's really too bad though because despite some dated effects, over acting, and the unfortunate third season (complete with a replacement character and hand written tunes that relayed the moral of each show, sung by Wesley!) this series was intentional and well defined. I would love to see it remade as a serious science fiction series or film.

looks like this is closer than believed. if it has Will Ferrell, I'll watch it! here are the details...

Release Date: July 17, 2009
Studio: Universal Pictures
Director: Brad Silberling
Screenwriter: Chris Henchy, Dennis McNicholas
Starring: Will Ferrell, Anna Friel, Danny R. McBride
Plot Summary: Based on the 1974-77 television series of the same name. The movie revolves around a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks.

Re: Land of the Lost

If they are going to ruin this movie by having Will Ferrell star, I suggest they should go all out and make a disaster of it.
My suggestions:

Rick Marshall: Lee Majors
Will Marshall: Rob Schneider
Holly: Nicole Richie
Chaka: Ashton Kutcher
