How did they get this movie from the Stephen King story? The story, by the way, sucked, the movie was okay, worth the price of a bargain bin rental anyway. I never saw the second one. Was Pierce Brosnan in it?

I haven't seen the second one either, but I don't think they could afford him by the time it got made

And I don't know how they managed to put Stephen King's name on it when it has absolutely nothing to do with his story (which was about a satyr eating a mans backyard grass). No wonder he sued.

Re: Stephen King

I was told that the Lawn Mower Man by King was a short story about a psychopathic gardener.

The second one was wayyy worse than the first, in case you need to know.

Well, it was a psycopathic satyr eating a man's backyard grass, ok? Sheesh, everyone's a critic

This was once my fav film...

Times ago! OK, now the effects may suck, but it's still worth of watching.

Warning! Plot! Pierce Brosnan (I really liked him before Bonds ) is a doctor Larry Angelo who starts to make some experiments with a simple-minded lawnmover man Jobe. He wants to try with human the same what has been tried with apes, make them more intelligent with some drugs (some apes got maniacs). Well, all starts very well. Jobe becomes intelligent. But then he discovers new abitilities from himself. He can make a chair flying just thinking about it. He can kill people with his thoughts, he is no longer Angelo's cute little ape. He goes into network and turns into eletric. Poor doctor tries to stop Jobe but Jobe is too big... thing. Jobe borns again as an electric monster in network when all the world phones are ringing at same time. The End.

Wow, that was great once. Mr. Brosnan is not in the sequel. He didn't wan't to. I understand.

I hated the second one, mainly because they didn't use the same Jobe. I can understand how they explained it, when he was given a face change, but I would have liked to see Jeff Fahey play Jobe.

Or Hello Man

And this movie DID suck. But it's not as bad as Hollow Man, because at least Lawnmower man has a kind of quaint charm to it.
