avvy's

may i suggest that we allow 100 x 100 avvys? and maybe boost the byte size allowance a bit too?

Re: avvy's

also a reduction in amount of posts needed for a custom avatar would be nice.

but definatly an increase in byte size IS needed, to at least 7000 bytes

Re: avvy's

I don't think avatars should be bigger, they will just be a distraction but I do think that there should be more avatars available.

I used to make a pack a of avyies from 2001 and Strange Days and Ramses said that he would add them to the selection but he didn't.

Well, Maybe in the future...

I say YES to the larger avatars. Please allow it Ramses, and allow it as soon as possible!

We can dump or downsize the allowed signatures if necesary. Most sites that allow large avatars have minimalist signatures, with very few incidences of large sig pics.

So cut back on the sigs to save space if need be, and increase avvie size.

I say yes to removing pics from sigs in general - just makes my old PC chug somewhat.
Couldn't care less about increasing avatars in shape or file-size.

You know Jove, you ALWAYS have the option of DE-selecting "show signatures" in your "Edit Options" menu.
But you knew that, right?

Just a thought.

I say no to the large avatars. Making them bigger won't add to my enjoyment, it'd detract some. But a greater selection would do nicely.

Hi Ramses!

Just bumping this so you've got a chance of getting round to seeing it - it's been a hotly-debated subject ... er ... at least, I think it has, I though the thread was a bit longer, personally, but maybe I'm thinking of a different thread ...

Anyway - submitted for your consideration!

Thanks !

2 pence...

Net connection technology has across in leaps and bounds. Less and less are limited to dial up anymore.

However having been on dial up not so long ago, bigger avs can and do work, but with unlimited sigs not so much.

Re: avvy's

Yes, downsizing the sigs is probably a good idea, especially if it means we get to have bigger avs.

That's if vBulletin even allows bigger avs

(er, this IS a vBulletin-type site, right? )
