Iron Giant

Has anyone seen this movie? It is a cartoon about a machine that is built for mass destruction, but it ends up having a soul and helping people. It has a sci-fi edge because people don't know if it's from another planet or where exactly it comes from. It's a really sweet movie and I love it. 9/10

Re: Iron Giant

I liked it but not to much. A sort of cartoon you show your kids. Overall, I feelt it could have been more fun. There are tons of stuff you can do with a 30 meter robot.

I thought it was a pretty fun movie. There's supposed to be a special edition DVD of it coming out next year. At least there's one Vin Diesel movie that Flowrchild likes.

I know, I am definitely going to buy it. Too bad it gets pushed back every year.
Yes, there is ONE Vin Diesel movie I like. You got that right And it doesn't involve any kind of speed racing.

Wasn't this the cartoon that was ( loosely ) based on The Iron Man by Ted Hughes? Did it do justice to the book?

Yes, it is.

I haven't read the book, so I can't answer that, but it is an excellent movie. It's my favorite animated film.

In fact, why doesn't Iron Giant have its own category?

Stole it from one of my lil brothers to watch and was actually really surprised.

Many people told me it was underated before hand and it really is, extremely well done especially considering its target audience is still kids. Its not your usual bright colors we have a robot lets make things go "boom", but focuses far more on the relationships. Really nice lil film, even go so far as to call it classic.

Totally different not even comparable. Disney in general never had that kind of depth or soft focus.

Re: Iron Giant

Yep I love Disney but americans do like overkill in general, nice to see something that was just as effective but didn't need an anvil to hit it home.
