Can someone help me?

My son just saw 2001 for the first time last week and I wanted to get him a book that explained how the movie was made and what went on behind the scenes.
Is there such a book and if so, can someone give me a tital and where it can be found. I have already done a search at Amazone but they only had one and it didn't appear to be very interesting.
Thanks in advance,
Carolyn

Re: Can someone help me?

There is book called "The lost worlds of 2001" written by A. Clarke. In this book he talks about his and Kubrick's personal efforts in producing 2001. It describes their initial plot ideas , the changes that were never inserted into a movie.

It is more like Clarke’s diary from the first day Kubrick approached him until the premiere. It is quite interesting.

Cool Re: Can someone help me?

Hello Carolyn just read your message about finding if there any good books about the making of 2001 there are some excellent books available if u know where to look.one book i fully recommend is called 2001 filming the future by piers bizony & printed by aurum it contains very rare photographs and tells you what u need to know and a lot more.other books to look out for are the making of 2001 a space odyssey intoduction by jay cocks & printed by modern library and one to look out for is the hard to find i think it is out of print is the makining of kubricks 2001 by jerome agel it contains stuff that was not used in the film. if you reply i could help your search in finding these books.
