Some minor corrections...

I found the SciFlicks 'Movie Facts' section on 'Contact' while searching for references to the ham radio callsigns used in the early part of the movie (W9GFO and K4WLD). Currently, said 'facts' say that the callsigns are unassigned.

This is no longer true. According to the FCC database, W9GFO was assigned to Richard Harman, of Seattle, WA (not far from me, actually) on 7-Jan-99.

As for K4WLD, the FCC has assigned that one to Randy Wallace, of Rockford, Alabama, on 11-Oct-02.

I have to wonder if either of these hamateurs are aware of the connection. Anyway, whoever maintains the 'Facts' section may want to update it with the new info.

And yes, 'Contact' is among my favorite movies. ;-)

Keep the peace(es).

Well, hopefully the next time Ramses the Administrator swings by, he'll read this and correct the facts accordingly

I'm writing a research paper on Gattaca, and found this interview with director Andrew Niccol quite interesting. Especially that budget limitations seem to be the reason for a lot of the features that make the film so unique. Hope it helps some of you.
