Y-yes, but also love and hate and gods and common people who meet them eye to eye. BloodHunter, it's something that we can not describe to you completely. You have to go and see it for yourself. Then you'll know. That's same with all huge masterpieces of the art.

I often wonder how in the hell this was pitched exactly.... I love it. anyway, incidently, if anybody wondered what Anthony Stewart Head looked like in costume...

Re: Rocky Horror Picture Show

The DVDs good - and has a ton of extras - including an "Audience Participation" soundtrack to listen to.
The problem is that it's not as good an AP soundtrack as was released on vinyl many years ago - where you could actually hear what most of the audience was saying.
The one on the DVD is similar - but is far too often nothing more than incoherent shouting.
It's still quite funny, though, and certainly adds a... je ne sais quoi... to the film.

"I would like... if I may... to take you on a strange journey....."

I would have to say, this is one of the best musicals around...

And kudos to Tim Curry for totally rockin it out...(in a Transylvanian-transvestite kinda way...)

But those lips still give me nightmares...

Wow, he's Kiss' next member.

There's a wierd lil part of me that really wants to go watch Rocky (with "Audience Participation"), but there's an even bigger part of me that's kinda freaked out.

I loathed this movie, and was forced to watch it twice on my 16th birthday last year. Although I did feel sorry for that blonde toy boy that guy made...

I think it's definitely a film everyone should watch once, though. Just for the sheer "What on earth..." value

"Aaaw ... he liked you."

"HE NEVER LIKED ME!!!"

Wow, this thread has over 50 replies.

Should this still be described as a cult film anymore?

You're kidding right? People still dress up to go see it and Buffy/Angel are cult.

Re: Rocky Horror Picture Show

True, but it's not so obscure anymore. There's even people on IMDb who don't like to label it cult - much like Donnie Darko....(how I hate that "cult" film)

Re: Rocky Horror Picture Show

Then they're pretentious twats that don't know how to share - god forbid other people like it too, because then it (and by association they) really won't be cool anymore.

Buffy/Angel despite being very popular is still considered cult, most everyone knows of it (almost to the point of iconic status) yet it still never made mainstream. Cult doesn't have to mean obscure, in actuality it usually refers to the devotion of the fans that follow it.
