Pilot's Mess [chit-chat zone]
This is the forum to get to know your fellow pilots and the ONLY place to talk about everything else not really relevant to sci-fi movies, including your personal loves and interests. A true pilot doesn't discuss these issues while on duty.

<sigh>.........damn it all. I've missed the last three events in a row. Won't be another till feb., and if i miss that one i'll have to tie myself to a chair and burn myself with lit cigarettes. Or whatever that guy in that movie said.

Re: My 1863-ish infantryman's adventure!
Figured i'd updat this thing. Ben awhile. Got promoted to corporal at the laste event. Permanently. Made me sew on strips. And then the leadership died. First the sergeant.....then the captain.....then the lutenant(i hate spelling drunk). Then i noticed i was in charge when the colonel came running up to me telling me to take command of the company. Then i led them all into a glorios death. Yay leadership.

Re: My 1863-ish infantryman's adventure!
I might get to be in a Civil War movie that starts filming next month. Reenactors are needed for camp scenes and battle scenes. I think this will be very interesting. I hope i don't hate this movie after it comes out.
It's about some woman who conspired to kill President Lincoln. Apparantley, she was the only woman in the USA to ever be hanged for treason. It's being filmed in Savannah, Georgia. |

Re: My 1863-ish infantryman's adventure!
Hope the ghost of ol' Jim Williams doesn't hang a Nazi flag out the second story window of his historic district manner and disrupt filming for a few days.
EDIT: its a real ******* move to make a reference nobody will get. Jim Williams was the Savannah resident featured in the novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil who, while a movie was being filmed, draped a Nazi flag from his window to protest the filming of some movie including his home without his consent. He wasn't a Nazi, but a collector of historical memorabilia, as I recall. |

He looks like one, too.
Just curious, though... what's you kill/death ratio? |

And this is the last remnants of the failed charge that led to the picture above. Looks a lot like the other one, just with more live people in it.
